its the time of the year again when I really miss my council days. yes its about a wk to NDC and my dear juniors are busy preparing for the performance of their life @ NDC08 to bring back the NE CUP trophy to AQUA for the 4th time in a row and the 5th time in 6 years. Going down to see how my juniors are doing today really made me miss the times i stayed back with sam, fel and nor and the aqua councillors, ogls and house affiliates to make props, paint banners, rehearse lines, and plan stuff. also makes me miss my wonderful adhoc comm NDC06 and the amazing times we had together. i miss all the early morning meetings (got so used to it that if we did not have a meeting, i would still come at the same time and sloth myself on the comfortable reclining chair in the Council room) crapping, running around, doing rehearsals, staying back in school until the guard came to chase us out, sleeping over before NDC, having 2 hours of sleep because of torrential rain, the best NDC ever, battle of the bands, interhouse cheering competition and Aqua winning NE Cup. i miss the 39th and the fun times, the busy times, the times when we were so stressed out together, the times when we cried together when we were about to step down, the times we slacked in CR together, the times when we came to school before the sun rose and went back way after the sun set (nearly 3/4 of our days in council), 615 meetings, GMs, elects camp midnight macdonalds, pre adhoc madness, post adhoc joy and celebration, going around in the lion suit (scoring a penalty and dancing on stage with chriselle's band in the process), holding the flags in the morning, orientation, the amazing fun we had with aqua ogls, food outings, the times i introduced sam, nor and fel to good food. but most of all i miss the people who made my council life the best that it could possibly be. my hat, my adhoc comm and every single one of you who made the 39th so special for me. it was an amazing term, and amazing year and a time in my life i will not ever forget.
